- "You're the one that I want ..." Founded only five years after Grease came out, Olivia Newton-John and partner Pat Farrar's Koala Blue wines set out to "capture the unique flavours and colours of Australia. Offerings include a peachy chardonnay and a shiraz full of berry flavours. Check out the site for a series of pictures that look like they're taken from the set of Laverne & Shirley. (Koala Blue)

- One would think that the patience required to own a vineyard would not be well-suited for a race car driver, but Mario Andretti seems to think otherwise. Andretti Winery in Napa Valley, California, was founded in 1996 to celebrate "the Italian lifestyle, complete with the finest wines produced anywhere in the world," crafting everything from Pinot Grigio to Cabernet Sauvignon. - There are many reasons why people take up winemaking - love of the vine, the challenge of growing, easy gifts for friends. But golfer Mike Weir's motivation was a bit more philanthropic - proceeds from his wines go to the Mike Weir Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing the physical, emotional and educational welfare of children. The Mike Weir Estate Winery in Niagara crafts Pinot Noirs, Merlots and many other vintages that have won fans across the country. Find out more at the winery's site here. (Dave Abel/Toronto Sun)

- Think wine goes better with classical symphonies than rock 'n roll? You might want to tell that to Motley Crue's Vince Neil, whose Vince Cabernet Sauvignon blends seven different grapes from Napa Valley. Inspiration may have come from his song, "Fine, Fine Wine": "ain't no cheap and nasty liquor dripping down her vine; taste of golden honey sweet as candy money." (Sean Kilpatrick/Ottawa Sun)

- One of the more distinctive labels sitting on the liquor store shelf, Dan Aykroyd Wines and their iconic microphones have been gaining fans since they first became available in 2007. Based in West Niagara Peninsula, the vineyard produces Chardonnary, Cabernet Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Shiraz - hopefully playing some Blues Brothers to the vines to help them grow. One can dream. Find out more about the wines here. (Dan Aykroyd Winery)

- The original celebrity wine maker, Francis Ford Coppola's winery in Napa Valley is one of the area's biggest attractions. - He didn't call them the Great One's wines, but Wayne Gretzky did employ at least one piece of hockey nostalgia when he decided to form a winery - he called it No. 99 Estates Winery. The Niagara property puts out Rieslings, Chardonnays and even Icewine, and like Mike Weir, Gretzky donates proceeds from his vintages to his foundation for kids. (Ottawa Sun)
